The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has instructed its all ranges that no individual or accused involved in any vigilance enquiry or lawsuit

The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has instructed its all ranges that no individual or accused involved in any vigilance enquiry or lawsuit would be called to the bureau’s office or VB police stations in any district or headquarters on the eve of Diwali.

Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of VB said the decision has been taken that no officer/official of the VB across the state would harass anyone or use any other tactic to create hardship for any person in the name of Diwali.

At the same time, the VB clarified that if any officer/official was found taking bribe in the name of Diwali, then such guilty person would not be spared. He added that the senior officers of the bureau have directed all the vigilance range officers/staff to strictly follow the orders.
