Amritpal Singh Latest News: In a series of early morning raids on Friday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) targeted the homes of relatives and supporters of Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh in Punjab. The operation began at 5 am, focusing on multiple properties linked to the MP's family.

One of the primary locations raided was the residence of Amritpal Singh’s uncle, Pargat Singh, in Rayya. However, Pargat Singh was not present at the time. His wife, Amarjit Kaur, was taken to Beas police station for questioning. Shortly after, Amritpal Singh’s other uncle, Sukhchain Singh, arrived at the station as well.

In addition to the Rayya raid, NIA agents searched the home of Amritpal Singh’s brother-in-law, Amarjot Singh, in Batala. Amarjot Singh currently resides in Canada. Properties owned by other relatives in Mehta (Amritsar district) and Sri Hargobindpur Sahib (Gurdaspur district) were also targeted during the operation.

Following the raids, Amritpal Singh’s team issued a statement condemning the actions. The statement claimed that the MP’s family, particularly elderly women, were being unnecessarily harassed. They criticized the government for focusing on Amritpal Singh’s relatives rather than addressing pressing issues in Punjab like drug addiction and gangsterism. The statement reiterated that Amritpal Singh will continue to serve the people, insisting that "the truth will prevail, as it always has."

The statement reads: "Since this morning, the NIA has been conducting raids at the homes of Bhai Amritpal Singh Ji’s family and relatives. The family and relatives of Bhai Sahib are being harassed and troubled, especially the elderly women of the household. Bhai Sahib was elected by the people and won from Khadoor Sahib, yet his family continues to be disturbed repeatedly in this manner, which is entirely wrong. If there is any evidence, it should be presented openly. Today, many social evils such as drug addiction and gangsterism are widespread in Punjab, but instead of catching the masterminds behind these issues, the government is focusing on harassing Bhai Sahib’s family and relatives. Bhai Sahib has always thought about his people and will continue to do so, raising his voice for them. The truth always prevails, as it has been proven in the past and will continue to be proven in the future."
