Rayat Bahra University: The Rayat Bahra campus has officially been upgraded to the status of a university, marking a significant milestone for higher education in the district.

Speaking at the occasion, Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman of Rayat Bahra University, expressed his gratitude to the Punjab Government for the approval. He highlighted that this is the first private university to be established in Hoshiarpur since the Aam Aadmi Party took office.

Gurvinder Singh Bahra on Rayat Bahra Campus Becoming University:

“I want to thank Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains on behalf of the people of Hoshiarpur for considering my request and granting this approval,” Bahra said.

The establishment of the university is expected to bring expanded educational opportunities, improved academic infrastructure, and increased career prospects for students in the region. It also marks a step forward in decentralizing quality higher education across Punjab, moving beyond its traditional urban centers.
