In a major development, the Punjab government on Monday withdrew the Land Pooling Policy and it subsequent amendments, the government said in a press release.

All actions and any action taken under the Policy have been reversed.

The withdrawal followed widespread criticism across Punjab, wherein the farmers and opposition have been protesting against the said policy.

Punjab Government press note reads “Government hereby withdraws the Land Pooling Policy dated 14.05.2025 and its subsequent amendments. Consequently, all actions, like LOIs issued, registrations done or any other action taken thereunder shall be reversed henceforth.”

It may be recalled that the Punjab and Haryana High Court has recently put a stay on the landing policy until further orders.
