CHANDIGARH: An Important Meeting of Punjab Cabinet is scheduled to be held at Mansa on June 10. Many major issues are going to be discussed in the meeting. As per the reports, the contractual teachers who have been working on low salaries for a long time can get a big gift of increase in salaries. A decision can also be taken about calling a special session of the Vidhan Sabha to pass a resolution against the reduction in state funds by the central government.

According to the information received, a large number of unskilled teachers who have been working for a long time under the names of education volunteer, education providers and other names receives wages ranging from Rs 1,000 to 10-12,000. Although due to legal obstacles, they cannot get fix as permanent employees but the cabinet sub-committee has prepared a plan to increase their salaries.
