Chandigarh (Spokesman News Service), 9th Oct'18The Congress Election Manifesto Drafting Committee, set up by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) to prepare a pro-people manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, met today in Chennai. The meeting attended by the Punjab Finance Minister Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) President Mr. S.K. Thirunavukarasar, Rajya Sabha member Mrs. Rajni Patil, discussed issues being faced by the farmers and common masses.

Revealing this here today, a Media spokesman of Minister said that the manifesto committee will discuss and prepare manifesto on the core issues related to Defence, Ex-Servicemen, Agriculture and Senior Citizens. "In today's meeting, the burning issues like present agrarian crisis and proper marketing of crops were discussed", he added.

"On October 10, the committee members will hold a meeting at Hyderabad (Telangana) to discuss the demands and problems of farmers in detail", said the spokesman while adding, "After this, the committee will further discuss issues of Ex-servicemen, Defence and senior citizens in Pune (Maharashtra) on October 11 and Bengaluru (Karnataka) on October 12. Few days back, Finance Minister Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal held a meeting with representatives from different walks of life including farmers, ex-servicemen, defence personnel and senior citizen at the Kisan Bhawan, Chandigarh.
