AGC Commemorates World Pharmacist Day with Inspiring Seminar & Engaging Events

Theme of the celebration was to promote organ donation & encourage students and the community

World Pharmacist Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Amritsar Group of Colleges on September 25, 2023, under the esteemed guidance of Respected Principal, Gaurav Tejpal. The event featured an inspiring seminar titled "Pharmacist Strengthening Health System - ANGDAAN MAHADAN."

Resource persons Dr. Sumeet Singh, Senior Medical Officer at CHC Manawala, and Amritpal Kaur, Pharmacy Officer shared their valuable knowledge and experiences with the eager pharmacy students, making the event a truly enriching experience.

The central theme of the celebration was to promote organ donation and encourage students and the community at large to contribute to saving lives through this noble act under which two competitions- Rangoli making and Poster making were organized to engage students and raise awareness. Amit Sharma, Chairman-AGC appreciated the team for the successful celebration of World Pharmacist Day, recognizing the pivotal role pharmacists play in strengthening the healthcare system. He also emphasized the importance of organ donation as a life-saving initiative.

Principal- AGC, Dr. Gaurav Tejpalpraised the dedication and passion of the students and faculty in making the event a resounding success. Notably, The celebration of World Pharmacist Day at AGC was a resounding success, inspiring all participants to consider the significant role of pharmacists in strengthening the healthcare system and emphasizing the importance of organ donation as a life-saving initiative.
