MOHALI: After the cancellation of singer Shubh's show in Maharashtra, India, many communally ideological people trolled Shubh. People on social media shared many posts regarding Shubh. One such post went viral which claimed that singer Shubh's Instagram followers have reduced after his show was canceled in Maharashtra. As per the claim, earlier Shubh had more than 4 million followers which has now come down to 1.1 million.
BJP leader Varun Jamwal shared a viral post claiming that Shubh had more than 4 million followers which has now come down to 1.1 million. The user wrote, 'Well done #Bharat, we all have shown that if we unite no one can downplay us.'

Rozana Spokesman in its investigation found the viral post to be fake. Singer Shubh's followers have not decreased but have increased.

Starting the investigation, we first went to Shubh's Instagram account. Till October 3, 2023 (time 4:23 PM), Shubh had 1.6 followers. Screenshot of the account can be seen below.

Afterwards, we went ahead and checked Shubh's Instagram account through InsTrack app. This app analyzes Instagram account. InsTrack offers powerful analytics and in-depth actionable insights for brands, influencers and agencies.
Here, if we check the number of followers of Shubh in the last one month, it is found that till 3 September 2023, Shubh had 1 million followers and today till 3 October 2023, this number has increased to 1.7 million followers. Below you can see the process of increase and decrease in followers.

For final confirmation, we also analyzed Shubh's Instagram account through an app called Social Blade. This app analyzes Instagram accounts just like InsTrack.
Here too we saw a similar update which made it clear that Shubh's Instagram followers have increased, not decreased.
Conclusion- Rozana Spokesman in its investigation found the viral post to be fake. Singer Shubh's followers have not decreased but have increased. People are being misled by making fake claims viral.
