MP Priyanka Chaturvedi on Plane Crash Interim Report Latest News – The preliminary report on the Air India Boeing 787 crash was released on Saturday. On Monday, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi reacted sharply to the findings, criticizing the report for allegedly absolving major stakeholders of responsibility.

Speaking to PTI, Chaturvedi said, "I am not at all surprised that the report places the entire blame on the pilot who lost his life in the incident—someone who can no longer present his side of the story."

She added, "The interim report has given a clean chit to all three major companies responsible for passenger safety and security."

Earlier in the day, Air India CEO Campbell Wilson addressed the airline’s employees through an internal communication, referring to the incident as “a period in which not a moment has gone by without thinking of the passengers, friends, colleagues, and wider community who were lost or injured.”

Wilson stated that the preliminary report found no mechanical or maintenance issues with the aircraft or its engines. He further clarified that all mandatory maintenance tasks had been completed, the fuel quality was up to standard, and no abnormalities were found during the take-off roll. Additionally, the pilots had passed their mandatory pre-flight breathalyser tests, and no concerns were raised about their medical condition.

“Out of an abundance of caution and under the oversight of the DGCA, every Boeing 787 aircraft in our fleet was inspected within days of the accident. All were found fit for service,” Wilson said.

He emphasized that Air India continues to conduct all required safety checks and will fully comply with any new protocols recommended by the authorities.

“The investigation is far from over. Until a final report is tabled, there will undoubtedly be new rounds of speculation and sensational headlines. We must nevertheless remain focused on our task,” he stated.
