Sports Minister condoles demise of father of Asian Games champion Tejinder Pal Singh

The Sports Minister, Punjab, Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi has expressed profound grief over the demise of father of the Asian Games shotput Gold medallist Tejinder Pal Singh. The father of Tejinder Pal Singh, Mr. Karam Singh breathed his last yesterday when his son reached New Delhi after winning Gold at Asian Games in Jakarta. He was suffering from cancer. In his condolence message Rana Sodhi has said that the undying efforts of his father and the family contributed hugely to the golden achievement by Tejinder Pal Singh.

The minister also said that when Tejinder was practicing at the camp for the Asian Games, his father was undergoing treatment. He further said that Tejinder fulfilled the dream of his father by winning Gold. The Sports Minister prayed to the almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss. He also said that he shares the grief of Tejinder Pal Singh at personal level too.
