Spokesman News Service: Chandigarh, December 3: The Government agencies and private millers have procured 170.17lakh metric tonnes of paddy in Punjab till December 2. Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman of the Government of Punjab informed that out of the total procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 168.93 LMT of paddy while 124379 MT has been procured by the millers.
Besides, 168.83 LMT paddy has been lifted. Giving the details, the spokesman said that PUNGRAIN has procured 5915996.75 metric tonnes, MARKFED 3886848.66 tonnes and PUNSUP procured 3525991 tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation and Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation procured 1564644 and 1748018.7 MT paddy
