Chandigarh: People living in Punjab have been relieved by the intensive heat for several days. Strong winds and hailstorms have been reported in many parts of Punjab today. The temperature has dropped with heavy rains.

According to the meteorological department, Uttar Pradesh's Shamli, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Modinagar, Meerut and Delhi besides Haryana's Karnal, Sonipat and Panipat have also receive rain.

According to the information, thundershowers and thunderstorms are expected in Sant Ravidas Nagar, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Ghazipur, Lalitpur, Jhansi, Mahoba, Saharanpur and Shamli in the next few hours.
