High court issued notice to chief secy punjab, department of local government on the issue of maintenance of stray animals...

Niel Bhalinder Singh: Chandigarh, 1 November: Public interest litigation has been filed by the Bathinda Associations of NGOs, counsel Sardavinder goyal appearing for the association contends that cow cess has been imposed by the state government on various services for maintaining uneconomic cows but on the contrary not maintaining uneconomical cows.

Many times stray animals became the reason for road accidents and resulted into death of citizens of India. It is also contended that Cow ponds have been constructed by state government for keeping stray cattles but are of no use. High court issued notice for 30.01.2019.
