Chandigarh: Many people are ignoring the advisory issued by the health department to prevent the corona virus. In such a situation many people are spitting from place to place and besides this many people are walking without masks. As a result, such people have been fined Rs 1.15 crore in the last 14 days.

PhotoPhotoIn the last 48 hours, more than 10,000 people have been fined for not wearing masks and spitting and 42 cases have been registered. It may be mentioned here that more than Rs. 1.15 crore has been recovered from the perpetrators of such mistakes in the state so far.

From May 17 to May 30, more than 40,000 people in the state who did not wear masks have been fined and case has been registered against 516 people.

PhotoPhotoIt may be mentioned that as per the orders of the government, people who do not wear masks, spit in public places, gather in shops, work without permission and do not observe social distance on vehicles will be kept under police surveillance.

In addition, officers and employees posted in various departments, boards and corporations are also violating the social distance guidelines due to which the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts have been directed to take strict action against such officer.
