The Punjab Government on Friday promoted three Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP).

The Punjab Government on Friday promoted three Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP).

Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of state government said ADGP B.K. Uppal, Sanjeev Kalra and Parag Jain have been promoted to the rank of DGP in level 16 of the pay matrix from 1st January 2021.

Punjab governmentPunjab governmentHe further informed that Parag Jain, IPS, who is presently on central deputation with cabinet secretariat, New Delhi would be entitled only to the notional benefits and the actual benefits would be admissible as and when he would join his duty in the state government.

It is mentioned here that Sanjeev Kalra is ADGP railways at Patiala and BK Uppal is holding charge of state vigilance bureau chief.
