Today is going to be a crucial day for Punjab politics.

Punjab By-Elections Result 2024 Updates: Punjab by-elections 2024, held across Gidderbaha, Chabbewal, Barnala, and Dera Baba Nanak, entered the final phase with counting of votes held on Saturday. The elections, conducted on November 20, saw an overall voter turnout of approximately 63%, with the highest participation in Gidderbaha (81%) and the lowest in Chabbewal (53%).

The political landscape in these constituencies was marked by a direct contest between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress, with the BJP emerging as a significant contender. However, the Aam Aadmi Party managed to win on 3 seats while the Congress party won only 1.

Gidderbaha, in particular, had drawn attention due to the intense battle between Congress leader Amrita Warring and veteran politician Manpreet Singh Badal. The high turnout here is being seen as an indicator of strong voter engagement. However, Dimpy Dhillon managed to win the seat leaving behind all the anticipation.

1:00 PM | AAP won 3 -- Gidderbaha, Chabbewal, and Dera Baba Nanak -- out of 4 seats while Congress won from Barnala only.

12:55 PM | Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann tweeted, "Congratulations to the Punjabis for their magnificent victory in the by-elections. Under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party is reaching new heights day by day across the country. 10:51 AM | AAP ahead in 9th round of Chabbewal as Dr Ishank has got 34116 votes while Congress' Ranjit Kumar has got 14984 votes and BJP's Sohan Singh Thandal bagged 4155 votes

AAP's Dimpy Dhillon is leading by 2137 votes while Amrita Warring is on second and Manpreet Singh and Sukhraj Singh, on thrid and fourth, respectively.

- Congress' Jatinder Kaur is ahead by 1692 votes in the sixth phase as she has got 21108 votes. 
- AAP's Gurdeep Singh got 19,415 votes

- AAP's Ishank Chabbewal Leading by a margin of 3308 votes as he got 7578 votes.
- Congress' Ranjit Kumar got 4270 votes

- Jitinder Kaur Randhawa got 10,416 votes
- Congress ahead by a margin of 449 votes
- AAP's Gurdeep Randhawa got 9,967 votes
- BJP's Ravikaran Kahlon got 467 votes

- Harinder Dhaliwal is ahead by a lead of 261 votes as he got 5100 votes/
- Congress' Kala Dhillon got 4839 votes
- Independent candidate Gurdeep Bath got 3427 votes

9:35 AM | Dera Baba Nanak: Congress is ahead in the third round; Jitinder Kaur Randhawa got 10,416 votes and thus, the Congress party is leading with a margin of 449 votes.
