New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi, president-elect Rahul Gandhi and former prime minister Manmohan Singh paid tributes to former Union minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi at a prayer meet here today. Top Congress leaders attended the prayer meet and paid floral tributes at a portrait of Dasmunshi, painted by his wife and former Union minister Deepa Dasmunshi.

Dasmunshi's son Priyadeep, who is studying in London, said that he and his mother would carry forward the legacy of his father and expressed his interest in joining politics. Dasmunshi, who had been in a coma since 2008, died at the age of 72 at a private hospital in New Delhi on November 20.
