Man arrested for theft, 14 vehicles recovered

Srinagar: Police claimed to have arrested a man today in a theft case in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district and recovered more than dozen stolen vehicles.

Ten cars, three motorcycles and one puck-up truck were among the stolen goods recovered from the accused, an official said.


"During the course of investigation of a theft case, police apprehended a man, identified as Abdul Hamid, from Budgam district," the official said.

During questioning, Hamid led police to the recovery of stolen vehicles and electronic items worth lakhs of rupees.  PTI
