Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in Bhopal on the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, participated in the Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Mahila Sashaktikaran Mahasammelan in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects in Bhopal and addressed a public gathering.
While addressing the crowd, he said, "140 crore Indians are roaring that if you fire bullets at us, 'tab maan ke chalo, goli ka jawab gole se diya jaayega'."

"... Sindoor is a symbol of 'Naari Shakti' in our tradition... In Pahalgam, terrorists not only shed the blood of Indians, but they also attacked our traditions. They challenged 'Naari Shakti'. This challenge proved fatal for terrorists and their masters," said, PM Narendra Modi.

He also praised ‘BSF daughters’ for their role during operation sindoor.
“We all know how significant the role of our BSF daughters was in this operation. From Jammu to the borders of Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, a large number of BSF women stood guard. They responded fiercely to cross-border firing…The first batch of women cadets has graduated from the NDA. Today, daughters are being deployed on frontlines in the Army, Navy, and Air Force…Whether it’s operations against Naxalites or terrorism across the border, our daughters are becoming the shield of India’s security. Today, from the sacred land of Devi Ahilya ji, I once again salute the women power of this nation,” he said.

India launched Operation Sindoor — a strategic and calibrated attack on terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir — following the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 25 tourists and one local pony ride operator. Among the lives lost was a Nepali national.

He remarked that “the world is witnessing the capability of Indian women in national defence,” and noted that the government has taken several steps in the last decade to empower them

Drawing a comparison between the percentage of women cadets in NCC before and after 20214, he said, “Our army opened the doors of defence facilities for women for the first time. Before 2014, only 25% of the cadets in NCC were girls. Today, their number is moving towards 50%.”

He highlighted, “Yesterday, another new history was made in the country. The first batch of women cadets passed out from NDA... Two brave daughters of the Navy have completed a 250-day sea voyage. They circled the world in a boat that runs on air. Not being able to see land for several weeks, bad weather, and terrible storms, they have defeated every difficulty. It shows that no matter how big the challenge, India's daughters can overcome it..."

Speaking about ‘women-led development,’ he said, "There is a famous inspiring statement of Ahilyabai that whatever we have received is a loan given by the public, which we have to repay. Today, our government functions on these values... Our government is making the vision of women-led development the axis of development.... Millions of women have become owners of their homes for the first time..."

The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of crop diversification and encouraged farmers to adopt it.
"To increase farmers' income, Lokmata Ahilyabai had told us 250-300 years ago to encourage cotton and spice farming. Even today, after 250-300 years, we have to continuously tell our farmers to practice crop diversification. You cannot get stuck in only cultivating paddy or sugarcane..."Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the event inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of multiple development projects, including the Datia and Satna airports, in a major boost to last mile air connectivity and opening new opportunities for industry, tourism, education, and healthcare in the Vindhya region.
