The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 1,007 and the number of cases climbed to 31,332 in the country on Wednesday

New Delhi: The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 1,007 and the number of cases climbed to 31,332 in the country on Wednesday, according to the Union health ministry. The number of active COVID-19 cases stood at 22,629, while 7,695 people have recovered, and one patient has migrated, the ministry said.

File PhotoFile PhotoAccording to the health ministry, 1,897 new cases of corona have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours and 73 people have died. The corona virus has reached 32 states and territories of the country.

The worst affected states are Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. As many as 400 people have died in the Corona epidemic in Maharashtra. There are 181 deaths in Gujarat and about 120 in Madhya Pradesh with the corona virus.

The lockdown, which started on March 25 and was scheduled to end on April 14, announced by the Union government and then extended till May 3 and now it is time to end the lockdown. But with the number of cases is not decreasing, now the government will increase it or open this lockdown will be clear in few days.
