Opposition Strategy and Key Issues
Leaders of the opposition INDIA bloc will convene today in Parliament to finalize their strategy. Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, is expected to spearhead discussions.
The opposition is likely to raise concerns over:
- The ongoing violence in Manipur.
- Allegations of bribery and financial irregularities against the Adani Group.
Government’s Stance
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju assured that the government is prepared to engage in discussions on any topic while emphasizing the need for a peaceful and productive session.
"The government is ready to discuss any issue. Our priority is to ensure smooth proceedings in both Houses without disruptions," Rijiju stated following an all-party meeting held on November 24.
During the meeting, 42 leaders representing 30 political parties proposed various discussion topics. Rijiju underscored the importance of cooperation from all members to maintain decorum and foster meaningful debates.
As the session kicks off, all eyes will be on the Parliament to see how discussions unfold on critical legislative matters and national concerns.
