Atishi Health Update Latest News Today: In a major turn of events, the health of Delhi Minister Atishi, who was on indefinite hunger strike over Delhi's water crisis, deteriorated after which she was admitted to the hospital.

Atishi was admitted to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital early Tuesday. Her hunger strike, which began on June 22, entered its fifth day today. Atishi asserts that Haryana is withholding Delhi's rightful share of water.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) reported that doctors advised hospitalizing Atishi due to a dangerous drop in her blood pressure and sugar levels. Despite this, Atishi remains determined to continue her strike until Haryana releases the water and opens the gates of Hathnikund Barrage.

The AAP has accused Haryana of supplying 100 MGD less water daily, severely impacting 28 lakh residents of Delhi and exacerbating the water shortage amid high temperatures and heat waves. Many Delhites now rely on water tankers for their daily needs, with such scenes becoming common throughout the summer.

Atishi’s strike highlights the pressing water scarcity issue in Delhi, drawing attention to the urgent need for Haryana to fulfill its water-sharing obligations.
