In another tweet, the DGP said the militants were reportedly from the ISJK. "Terrorists reportedly affiliated to ISJK," Vaid said. Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Khiram in Srigufwara area of Anantnag district in south Kashmir this morning after receiving specific intelligence input about the presence of militants in the area, a police official said.  He said the search operation turned into a gunfight after the militants fired upon the forces, who retaliated.
