“Mr. Amit Shah is the incapable Home Minister who failed to prevent the Pahalgam terror attack, failed to prevent the Delhi blasts.”
Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Sagarika Ghose on Friday hit back at Union Home Minister Amit Shah over his recent “protect infiltrators” remark.
In a video posted on the All India Trinamool Congress’s X handle, Ghose called Amit Shah a “singularly incapable Home Minister” and said he should resign for his alleged failure to address “national security challenges.”
According to PTI, the video is a reaction to Shah’s comment: "Some political parties are trying to 'protect infiltrators' by hindering the process for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls across states."
Reacting to this, Ghose said, "The Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah is again talking about infiltrators. He's saying ghuspaithiyas (infiltrators) are coming into India, ghuspaithiyas are crossing India's borders and coming into India. Mr. Amit Shah is a singularly incapable Home Minister. He has failed to address the serious national security challenges facing India because he's too busy politicking and too busy trying to break opposition governments..."
How does @AmitShah even dare to make such grand claims when he himself is a failed Home Minister?

Before blaming opposition parties over infiltration, the Home Minister should look at his own record. Pahalgam, Delhi, Pulwama - in every instance, your incompetent government… pic.twitter.com/3c0GYXKRGR
She further added, “Mr. Amit Shah is the incapable Home Minister who failed to prevent the Pahalgam terror attack, failed to prevent the Delhi blasts.”
Continuing her criticism, she said, “He is now talking about infiltrators. But who guards the borders? Mr. Amit Shah, it is you.”
“It is your responsibility to guard India's borders. The Border Security Force (BSF) comes under you. It is you who are entrusted to safeguard India's borders. If infiltrators are coming in, that is your failure... and the failure of your ministry,” she added.
Ghose also echoed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s stance, saying, “As Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said, the SIR exercise is simply targeted at disenfranchising citizens and causing enormous hardship and enormous pain to bona fide citizens of India. By talking about infiltrators, Mr Amit Shah is only politicking. He's an incapable Home Minister and he should resign."
The All India Trinamool Congress accused the NDA leader of “spending his time toppling opposition-led governments instead of ensuring national security.”
Posting the video, the party questioned the Home Minister’s responsibility over border security, writing, “Even the BSF securing our borders operates under your command. So who is allowing infiltrators to enter?”
The post ended with a direct demand: “Answer us Amit Shah or resign.”
Meanwhile, Bengal BJP met EC officials, flagging non-cooperation by TMC govt in conducting SIR, according to PTI report.
BJP leader Suvendhu Adhikari said, “We had a discussion on SIR and how Mamata Banerjee is not cooperating… The fraud must stop.”
