It'll significantly reduce transit time & increase income opportunities for thousands of farmers

J&K News: LG Manoj Sinha Flags off Parcel Train from Budgam to Adarsh Nagar, Delhi Latest News: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha on Monday morning, flagged off the first dedicated Parcel Train from Budgam to Adarsh Nagar Delhi, aimed at reducing transit time, income opportunities for farmers, and boosting the agricultural economy in the region.

This new freight train service is a big step for the apple growers of the Union Territory to transport their produce to different parts of the country, the LG said in a post on X.

In a separate post, he expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, “Grateful to Hon'ble Prime Minister Sh @ narendramodi ji for ushering a new era of trade & business for apple growers & traders of Valley. It'll significantly reduce transit time & increase income opportunities for thousands of farmers & boost the agricultural economy of the region.”
