Over 200 Indian Citizens Safely Repatriated, Express Gratitude to Government for Swift Action

NEW-DELHI: In a commendable effort to ensure the safe return of Indian citizens stranded in Israel, the Indian government initiated 'Operation Ajay,' leading to the repatriation of over 200 individuals in its initial phase. The operation garnered momentum as the second flight, carrying 235 people, touched down at the Delhi airport on Saturday.

The Minister of State for External Affairs, Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, extended a warm welcome to the returnees upon their arrival at the airport. This gesture was followed by a similar welcoming reception organized by several state governments on Friday, when the first batch of individuals arrived from Israel. Union Minister Rajiv Chandrasekhar was present to welcome the first batch of returnees.

Expressing their heartfelt gratitude, the repatriated Indians conveyed their appreciation to Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and the Central Government for swiftly executing Operation Ajay, which facilitated their safe journey back to their homeland. The operation signifies the government's commitment to prioritizing the welfare and repatriation of its citizens, especially during challenging times.
