Ahmedabad Air India Plane Crash Into BJ Medical College Hostel Death Toll Latest News: In an unfathomable tragedy that has plunged the city of Ahmedabad into mourning, the Air India Flight AI171, en route from Ahmedabad to London, crashed directly onto the UG hostel mess of BJ Medical College located in Meghani Nagar on Thursday morning. 

Scene of Devastation

Eyewitnesses reported a thunderous explosion as the aircraft plummeted shortly after takeoff and struck the college’s dining facility. The crash sparked a massive fire and caused a partial collapse of the hostel building, trapping many inside.

Emergency services, including fire brigades, NDRF units, and medical teams, were rushed to the spot, but the scale of the damage has made rescue efforts excruciatingly difficult.

The Crash

The ill-fated flight was carrying 242 passengers and had just taken off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport when it encountered technical trouble.
