A tanker carrying industrial chemical on its way from Udhampur to Srinagar skidded off the highway at Mehar in Ramban district late last night, the officer said.

Both driver and conductor of the tanker died and their bodies were recovered and kept in a mortuary in Ramban, he said. The deceased were identified as driver Mohammad Hanief and conductor Iqbal from south Kashmir, the official said.
