Raja Raghuvanshi Murder Case: Four Accused Arrested, To Be Taken to Shillong after Transit Remand 

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Rajesh Dandotiya, on Tuesday confirmed that four accused have been arrested so far in connection with the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case. All of them are expected to be taken to Shillong later today following the completion of transit remand formalities.

The four accused have been identified as Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan, Raj Singh Kushwaha, and Anand.
Speaking to ANI, DCP Dandotiya stated, "All four accused are currently in the Indore Police Commissionerate. The Shillong Police interrogated them. The transit remand of the three accused was taken yesterday. Today, the fourth accused has been arrested. Shillong Police will take all four accused with them today after taking transit remand."

He added that Indore Police has been in constant coordination with the Shillong Police since the beginning of the investigation.
Meanwhile, the Meghalaya Police also obtained a three-day transit remand of the deceased’s wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, on Monday. 

According to investigators, Raja Raghuvanshi was allegedly murdered during his honeymoon in Shillong, reportedly by contract killers hired by his wife, Sonam.
Chief of Meghalaya's Special Investigation Team, Herbert Pyniaid Kharongor, stated that the post-mortem report revealed two head injuries on the deceased.

Raja and Sonam Raghuvanshi had been reported missing, with their last contact with family members occurring on May 23. According to the family, the couple had been in regular touch until that day.
On June 2, Raja Raghuvanshi’s body was recovered from a deep gorge in Meghalaya.
Sonam was later found near a dhaba on the Varanasi-Ghazipur highway, police sources said. She was initially taken to the Sakhi

One Stop Centre in Ghazipur. Upon the arrival of Meghalaya police, she was taken for a medical check-up at the District Hospital before being placed in police custody.
