India-Pakistan Ceasefire Announced, Dispels of Misinformation latest news: In a pivotal press conference after the India-Pakistan ceasefire deal, Commodore Raghu R Nair discussed major breakthroughs and dispelled false information making the rounds in the region.
Colonel Sofiya Qureshi explained that Pakistan's assertion of shooting down an Indian F-400 fighter aircraft with its JF-17 aircraft was totally untrue. She also refuted reports of damage to India's BrahMos missile system and destruction in religious sites as misleading and baseless propaganda.
The ceasefire deal was struck after direct talks between the two nations, and Pakistan's Director General of Military Operations had opened the talks in the early afternoon. Although the hostilities have been agreed to be stopped, India is keeping a close eye on the situation.
Colonel Qureshi reiterated that in the recent military action, Indian forces caused severe damage to the Pakistani airbases and radar. She assured that the Indian Army is well-equipped to ensure the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the nation.
The Defence Ministry reaffirmed its position on national security, emphasizing that India will not tolerate any acts of aggression in the future. Officials reminded citizens to remain well-informed and to seek information from credible sources to avoid spreading misinformation via the internet.
