'If Stalin continues with similar remarks, the alliance's votes could plummet by as much as 20%'- K.Annamalai

TAMIL NADU: The Recent Speech by Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Sanatan Dharma has sparked controversy and drawn criticism from various quarters. Amid the debate, Tamil Nadu BJP President, Annamalai, likened Udhayanidhi Stalin to Rahul Gandhi, referring to them as "North India's Pappu" and "South India's Pappu," respectively.

The Comparison alludes to previous statements made by Rahul Gandhi about the Modi community, which stirred political discourse. Annamalai's remarks highlight the growing tension between political factions in the region. Udhayanidhi Stalin's speech has also garnered responses and criticism from BJP leaders, including Amit Shah, and other Union Ministers.

Speaking to reporters at the Tuticorin airport, Annamalai expressed concerns that if such rhetoric persists, it could lead to a decline in the vote bank of the India Alliance. Currently, the vote percentage for the alliance has decreased to five percent. Annamalai cautioned that if Udhayanidhi Stalin continues with similar remarks, the alliance's votes could plummet by as much as 20 percent.

Annamalai emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue and communication, suggesting that Udhayanidhi Stalin should provide explanations and engage in discussions when presenting ideas. Notably, the Congress party has also distanced itself from Udhayanidhi Stalin's recent statements, underscoring the divisions within the political landscape.
