On arrival at location,  Prime Minister took a boat ride to the Triveni Sangam, the meeting of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the  Saraswati rivers, where he took a holy dip in sacred water.

The Prime Minister’s visit coincidentally with the Delhi Assembly elections, which are in progress. Despite of hectic political atmosphere, PM Modi made time to participate in this significant spiritual event. The holy dip at Triveni Sangam is believed to cleanse sins and bring blessings, making it devoted to ritual for millions of devotees attending the Kumbh Mela.
