Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies Implement Immediate Increase

Commercial LPG Cylinder Price Latest Update: In a recent development, public sector oil marketing companies (OMCs) have announced a significant uptick in the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders by Rs 21 per cylinder, effective immediately as of December 1.

After the adjustment, the retail sales price for a 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinder now stands at Rs 1,796.5 in New Delhi and Rs 1,749 in Mumbai. In the southern city of Chennai, the revised price is Rs 1,968.5, while in Kolkata, it is now Rs 1,908.

This surge comes as a concerning turn of events for businesses and households alike, adding economic strain in the wake of rising commodity costs. Notably, there has been no alteration in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders, providing a slight relief for residential consumers. It's imperative to note that this increase follows a reduction of Rs 57 in commercial LPG prices just two weeks ago on November 16.
