Heavy rainfall in Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri district has triggered waterlogging in several areas on Wednesday July 9, ANI reported.
The district had also experienced waterlogging due to continuous rainfall on July 7, during which roads, markets, and government offices remained submerged. Rainwater had entered homes and shops, leaving residents distressed.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Chandigarh, Charkhi Dadri received the highest rainfall in the state in the past 24 hours, recording 39.5 mm as repoted today in the morning. Its weather station, Revenue Office AWS400 (AWS), also recorded the lowest minimum temperature in Haryana at 24.2°C.
Compared to yesterday, there has been a drop of 0.6°C in the state’s average minimum temperature, which remains near normal, the IMD added.
As of now, no weather warning has been issued for Charkhi Dadri or nearby areas by IMD Chandigarh for the day.
However, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for several northwestern districts of Haryana, warning of possible thunderstorms, lightning, and other weather conditions.
