In a move to curb speeding, red-light jumping, and reckless driving, Chandigarh will soon have CCTV surveillance installed at every signal, under the Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS).
According to a post by the chdlife Instagram handle, coverage will expand to all 109 junctions from the current 40 locations, using high-resolution cameras, automatic number plate recognition, and real-time data sharing with control rooms.
