This year marks the first since 2014 without foreign interference ahead of the parliamentary session.
PM Modi highlighted the government's mission mode approach to innovation, inclusivity, and investment. He expressed confidence that the Budget Session would bring new energy and confidence in reaching the goal of a developed India by 2047, coinciding with the centenary of the nation's independence.
He also mentioned that the upcoming Budget, to be presented on February 1, would act as a catalyst for change, bringing new hope and energy to the nation. He prayed for the blessings of Maa Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, to support the poor and middle class.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to present the Economic Survey 2024-25, which will provide an official assessment of the nation's economic performance and highlight the challenges faced by the country. Following the survey, the Union Budget will address key legislative matters, including potential changes in income tax slabs, infrastructure development, and allocations for rural development and education.
PM Modi called on the citizens of India to support the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047, emphasizing the collective effort of 140 crore Indians to make this dream a reality. He also expressed confidence that every Member of Parliament, especially the young ones, would contribute to this agenda during the session.
