Copra office Alappuzha, copra office Kozhikode, copra Rajapur Mumbai and copra edible Mumbai dropped at the spices market here today on reduced demand from stockists and retailers amid poor export offtake. While black pepper and ginger unbleached held stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity. Copra office Kozhikode weakened by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 12,100 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 12,300.

Copra office Alappuzha, copra Rajapur Mumbai and copra edible Mumbai eased by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 12,300, Rs 20,700 and Rs 15,700 as against Rs 12,400, Rs 20,800 and Rs 15,800, respectively. Following are today's closing rates (in Rs) with previous rates in brackets: Black pepper (per kg) 365/425 (365/425), ginger unbleached (per kg) 165 (165), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 12,300 (12,400), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 12,100 (12,300), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 20,700 (20,800), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 15,700 (15,800).
