According to GoodReturns data as of 2:05 PM on August 8, gold prices were as follows:
• 24-carat gold: Rupees 1,03,310 per 10 grams – up by Rupees 760 from Yesterday
• 22-carat gold: Rupees 94,700 per 10 grams – up by Rupees 700 from Yesterday
• 18-carat gold: Rupees 73,230 per 10 grams – up by Rupees 580 from Yesterday
These rates are based on inputs from reputed jewellers across the country, as reported by the site.
The ongoing uncertainty in the U.S. regarding tariffs has impacted global gold markets.
China remains the largest gold consumer in the world, followed by India. Since India meets the majority of its gold demand through imports, its market is significantly influenced by global trends.
