Groundnut oil prices declined further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following subdued demand from stockists and retailers. While refined palm olein prices recovered marginally owing to mild offtake from retailers. In the non-edible segment, castor seeds bold and castor oil commercial fell further owing to lower demand from soaps and shippers industries. Linseeds prices ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil fell by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 835 from Friday's closing level of Rs 840, however, refined palmolein edged up by a rupee per 10 kg to Rs 713. Moving to the non-edible section, castor seed bold eased by Rs 5 per 100 kg to Rs 3,995 compared to Rs 4,000 and castor oil commercial inched down by a rupee per 10 kg to Rs 829. However, linseeds oil ruled stable at Rs 780 per kg.
