Tin prices firmed up at the non-ferrous metal market here today following stockists' buying amid sustained demand from alloy industries. Elsewhere, copper and brass too gained owing to good demand from consuming industries. Nickel, zinc, and aluminum utensils declined due to lower demand from industrial users. Tin prices climbed by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,510 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 1,500. Copper utensils and brass utensils scrap edged up by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 436 and Rs 343 as against Rs 433 and Rs 340.

Brass sheet cuttings regained by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 358 from Rs 356. Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper billets and copper sheet cuttings inched up per kg each to Rs 474, Rs 467, Rs 502 and Rs 457, respectively. However, nickel prices eased by Rs 20 per kg to Rs 950 as compared Rs 970, yesterday. Aluminum utensils and zinc softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 125 and Rs 233.
