Delhi Traffic Alert: Today, in Delhi, farmers are gathering for a Mahapanchayat at Ramlila Maidan to voice various demands, including MSP assurances. The event has received approval, prompting the issuance of a traffic advisory by Delhi Traffic Police on Wednesday.

According to the advisory, the Kisan Mahapanchayat will take place on March 14, 2024, at Ramlila Maidan, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg. In anticipation of the gathering, several road closures and diversions have been announced along Jawaharlal Nehru Marg and surrounding areas. A significant turnout of farmers is expected.

Farmers To Hold 'Mahapanchayat' At Ramlila Maidan On March 14; Delhi Traffic Police Issues Advisory.

Traffic disruptions are expected in Ramlila Maidan from 6 am to 4 pm. Affected routes include Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Asaf Ali Road, Swami Vivekananda Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg, Minto Road, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Flyover, and several others. Traffic diversions will be in place at key intersections such as Delhi Gate, Mir Dard Chowk, and Paharganj Chowk.

The Mahapanchayat, organized by the All India Kisan Khet Mazdoor Organization, will demand law ensuring MSP for all crops, withdrawal of the Electricity Adjustment Bill 2023, and compensation of Rs 50 thousand per acre for crops damaged by hailstorms.
