In a significant development for Punjabi cinema, Canada-based Luminary Productions  and USA-based United Studios have partnered with Vinkal Studios for the production of three Punjabi feature films. These ambitious projects will be helmed by none other than Pali Bhupinder Singh, the acclaimed writer-director known for the critically lauded Gurmukh and the blockbuster Laavan Phere, among several other celebrated films and web series.

Mr. Sukhwinder Singh , president of Luminary Productions , stated, “This collaboration is a strategic effort to create content-driven cinema that resonates with global Punjabi audiences while also offering a robust platform for emerging talent from Punjabi theatre and cinema.” He further told, that the development slate is already in motion. Stories for all three films have been finalized, with pre-production for the first project already underway. The trilogy of films will span multiple genres, with a focus on entertainment, cultural relevance, and social messaging.

Speaking about the collaboration, Mr. PS Brar,Producer for the projects, & Mrs. Sandeep Kakkar of Vinkal Studios, shared, “This alliance is not just about making films; it’s about launching a movement that redefines Punjabi storytelling.
