Composer Vishal Dadlani believes Bollywood films and its music can be a powerful tool to send across an important message to people. The iconic track "Dil Toh Paagal Hai" from Yash Chopra's cult classic of the same name has been re-rendered. The new version, in collaboration with Dadlani, has been sung by 6 Pack Band 2.0 comprising six specially-abled children. Asked if such causes can be highlighted through Bollywood films and songs, Dadlani said, "It can and it should be done, it's very important.

Music is not just entertainment it also has a quality to send a message to people's hearts."  "If we can make important things reach people through this medium, it'll be very nice," he told reporters. The composer was speaking at the song launch last evening. The track has been recreated by Shameer with additional lyrics by Kumaar. Dadlani said though he would have never touched the song, he is glad to be a part of it because of the cause and how the "message has come out so organically and reached people."

The composer said he was impressed by children's talent and felt they sounded like playback singers. "When I was offered the song and I heard it, I told the team they sound like playback singers. I honestly thought they sing better than me. They actually didn't need me, I am honored to be part of this," he said. 6 Pack Band 2.0 is curated by Shameer Tandon and conceived and produced by Ashish Patil of Y-Films. The project hopes to effect a positive social change through the inspiring and fascinating stories of the six band members.
