Diljit Dosanjh Controversy With Background Dancer Latest News: While Diljit Dosanjh has been making headlines for his back-to-back shows, a background dancer Shilpa Sajan has come forward with serious allegations against the management team behind Diljit Dosanjh’s 'Dil-Luminati Europe Tour', citing unfair pay, unprofessionalism, and mistreatment of dancers.
In an Instagram post, Sajan expressed her disappointment after pulling out of the tour, revealing that dancers were offered just £80 while being expected to cover their own travel and accommodation. This came despite promises of a “once-in-a-lifetime experience.” Sajan noted that similar issues had occurred during Dosanjh’s US tour, where dancers were not paid at all.
Sajan described the working environment as chaotic, with little respect for the performers. “There was no respect or communication, and we were left stressed for days on end,” she wrote, adding that dancers were cut without explanation, and rehearsals were not prioritized. “As someone who’s done events of this scale before, I know what good looks like,” she added.
The dancer further condemned the broader issues in the industry, saying dancers are frequently treated as “mere objects” and undervalued, despite their dedication and hard work. She concluded by stating that she had to walk away from the opportunity for the sake of her self-respect, calling for the industry to improve its standards.
Sajan’s allegations have sparked debate online, with many supporting her stand against unfair treatment in the entertainment world.
