King Khan Rocks! Shah Rukh Khan Secures Top Spot in TIME's Annual Poll

'Pathaan' earned more than Rs 1,000 crore domestically & abroad

NEW-DELHI: Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has topped Time magazine's annual 'Time 100' list. This list is prepared based on the votes given by the readers. According to the American publication, more than 12 lakh people voted this year, of which Shah Rukh Khan got four percent of the votes.

Khan (57)'s January release 'Pathaan', which earned more than Rs 1,000 crore domestically and abroad, is being touted as his comeback on the big screen. The Women of Iran who are raising their voices for their freedom in the Islamic ruled country are on the second place with three percent votes in this list. Britain's Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are on third and fourth with 1.9 percent of the vote respectively.

Footballer Lionel Messi, who played an important role in the victory of Argentina in last year's Football World Cup in Qatar, is in fifth place in the list with 1.8 percent votes. Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh, former tennis player Serena Williams, META CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva are also on the list. According to the magazine, their editors will release their favorite 'Time 100' 2023 list on April 13.

The achievement clearly proves that why SRK, is known as the "Baadshah of Bollywood" and "King Khan". The Superstar has appeared in more than 100 films, and earned numerous awards, including 14 Filmfare Awards. In 2023, he returned to the big screen with 'Pathaan' after staying away from it for almost 4 years. 

Shah Rukh Khan is working on two more projects which will release this year. One is Raj Kumar Hirani's 'Dunkee' and Atlee's 'Jawan'. Jawan stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, and is set to be released in June 2023. Dunki stars Taapsee Pannu alongside Shah Rukh Khan, and is slated to hit the cinema halls in December 2023.
