MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla Meets the Family of Abhishek Sharma, Star of Asia Cup 2025 Latest News: Member of Parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla met the family of Indian cricket star Abhishek Sharma to congratulate them after India won the Asia Cup 2025 and Abhishek was named ‘Player of the Tournament’.

Gurjeet Singh Aujla, who represents the Amritsar constituency, said in a Facebook post, "Congratulations to the pride of Sri Amritsar, the young star of the Indian cricket team Abhishek Sharma ji, on winning the 'Asia Cup' and being selected as the 'Player of the Tournament'..."

The Congress MP added, "Today, I specially visited the house of Abhishek Sharma ji, congratulated the family, and shared this historic moment with them.”

Aujla stated that Abhishek Sharma’s success is a moment of pride for every Punjabi and every Indian, adding,“I sincerely wish him more success in the future.”

India won the Asia Cup 2025 title after defeating Pakistan in the final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, lifting the trophy for a record ninth time.

Abhishek Sharma was named Player of the Tournament after scoring 314 runs in seven innings, winning USD 15,000 (approx. Rs 13 lakh) and a brand-new SUV. He also won the 'Most Sixes' award and finished as the top run-scorer of the tournament.

India received Rs 21 crore as champions, while Pakistan earned Rs 66 lakh as runners-up.
