Paris Olympics 2024, Ramita Jindal Shooting Final, Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh bronze medal match: A day after winning a bronze medal for India in the Women 10m Air Pistol Individual event, Indian shooter Manu Bhaker along with Sarabjot Singh has raised hope for yet another bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed team event. On the other hand, Ramita Jindal has been eliminated from the finals of the Women 10m Air Rifle Individual event.
Notably, Ramita Jindal was on the verge of scripting history, just like Manu Bhaker. Even though Ramita couldn't bring the medal glory to the nation, she has created a record as she became the second woman to reach the finals of a shooting event in the last 20 years.
Prior to this, Suma Shirur was the only woman to have reached the finals of a shooting event in the 10m air rifle event, that too in the 2004 Athens Olympics.
On the other hand, the pair of Bronze medal winner in the Paris Olympics 2024 — Manu Bhaker — and Sarabjot Singh — who missed out on qualifying for the finals of the Men 10m Air Piston Individual event in a close encounter — have given hope for the bronze medal. The duo is set to take on the Republic of Korea in the bronze medal match of the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team Event.
