The Chancellor of Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University (MBSPSU), Patiala, has appointed Dr. Pushpinder Singh Gill as the Vice-Chancellor of the university for a period of three years, with effect from the date he assumes office, according to an official notification.
The notification stated that the terms and conditions of Dr. Gill’s appointment will be notified separately.
The appointment has been made in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 26(1) of the Schedule of the Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University Act, 2019.
According to The Tribune, Dr. Gill has over 36 years of experience in academia, research, administration, and international consulting.
He is a retired professor of Punjabi University, Patiala, and has served in various leadership capacities.
Dr. Gill holds a doctorate from Punjabi University, Patiala, specializing in “Marketing Executive Effectiveness in Relation to Job Involvement and Locus of Control.”
He completed his MBA in Marketing and Materials Management and BA (Honours) in Economics from Punjabi University, Patiala.
