Gambhir approached Delhi Police on Wednesday, filing a request for an FIR and seeking enhanced security for his family.
The threats came in two emails on April 22, both containing the message "IKillU." This isn't the first such threat Gambhir has faced, as he received a similar email in November 2021.

The Delhi Police have initiated an investigation into the matter. On Tuesday, Gambhir condemned the Pahalgam terror attack, expressing condolences for the victims.

"Praying for the families of the deceased. Those responsible for this will pay. India will strike," Gambhir wrote on his X platform.
