T20 World Cup Crisis: Bangladesh Rejects India Travel Citing "Unchanged" Security Risk

According to the report, Asif Nazrul said that the government has not lost hope and expects the ICC to reconsider the security concerns. "The BCB has requested the global governing body to relocate their scheduled fixtures to Sri Lanka.

Nazrul emphasised that the board’s primary concern is the safety of the players, which they believe remains at risk if they play in India.

The Sports Advisor further cautioned that a failure by the ICC to accommodate this request would be a "significant loss to world cricket" and would reflect poorly on the host nation. He noted that excluding a major cricketing nation from the tournament over security concerns would be viewed as a "failure for the host country."

While the BCB awaits a final decision from the ICC, it has reiterated that the team will not be sent to India under the current circumstances.
